The Story Behind Bemorie.

The name Bemorie is inspired by the classic memory game I often played during my childhood in Germany—Memorie. For those unfamiliar, the game involves a grid of face-down cards, each with a unique image. Players take turns flipping over two cards, aiming to find matching pairs. Success requires concentration and recall, as you remember the locations of previously seen images.

The joy of Memorie came from the thrill of discovery, the connection between matching pairs, and the satisfaction of a completed set. These feelings resurfaced while designing my marble cubes, where pairs of almost identical patterns echo the game’s essence. Through Bemorie, I aim to channel that sense of nostalgia and discovery into objects that spark joy and connection in everyday life.
